Tough for conor tbh, let's see what he's about but essentially he's thrown in with a massive injury list. Think it's important to have some sense of perspective, if he had a fully fit squad then 10 games might give us some indication. Let's see
I'd be happy with Duff back but understand that will be massively divisive assuming the fan base so it's probably a none starter. Wellens has done well at this level. I'd get behind him but I'm not sure he'd want to leave Orient for us. He didn't last year of the rumours are correct, what's changed to make us more attractive? Warne would be a good call but I'm not sure he'd want to be here either, he's surely going to be looking higher up the leagues or wanting a big pay cheque. I'm always wary of ex players taking the job, especially fan favourites at it feels like they can only tarnish their reputation ultimately as they're either going to fail and get the abuse that comes with it or he moderately successful and leave for a bigger club and get the abuse that comes with that
Exactly why Mick McCarthy keeps declining the opportunity. Would be good to have a Mick or Warnock in a Director of Football role though - someone with an actual history of success and building teams to offer some advice and guidance when a manager might need it.
