Promotion. Preferably automatic because our recent play off record is poor.

Same as last season for me. Top 6. I think top 2 will be out of reach, and I hope fans don't go into the season with that expectation.

Doncaster? It will be a challenge to play them.

This season's challenge is the same as last season's challenge - it's to go one better than last season.
Regardless of expectations, that has to be the target and is non negotiable.

Interesting analysis, hadn't realised how good our records were against some teams, same for bad. Wrexham one is most curious, both teams identical records when playing the other at home. Also surprised to see us still with an overall positive home record against Reading given we've never beaten them at Oakwell since I've been going (early 2000s), and we've seemed to do better at St Andrews than that table suggests.

It's not so much an expectation for me, it's the knowledge that we will finish top 2.

It's interesting to see the data, but I don't think our record against any side before the past season or 2 is at all relevant to how we might do against them this year.

I think it's 60 points total, but it's meaningless in terms of predicting how we will do against any individual team or overall.

Ah yes, I've noticed the other column since I posted. Doh! Thought it seemed high, particularly the away.

    Agree, totally meaningless.

I think it’ll be a season of settling next year. We’ve lost a lot of key players. The three coming down will be competing at the top if Birmingham get their appointment right and I don’t see anything that has changed from Bolton, Peterborough, Lincoln or Blackpool to suggest that they’ll drop off either. Think Wigan, Charlton and Reading will be a lot closer to the top six and wouldn’t surprise me if Cambridge and Wrexham have good seasons.

We need to stop risking in recruitment and instead bring players in who are good enough. We can get them cheap enough just like other sides do. There’s no excuse really.
