He did right, Van Gal is same, if they're asking stupid questions that have been done to death, or asking things that can only be answered in one way, they deserve dragging over the coals.

Not a fan of Pearson but when journalists ask questions to take the piss or undermine the bloke in question then a reaction is to be expected.

Its a journalists job to ask questions and if the manager doesn't think it's worthy of a response they can exercise the right to just say next question please. There is no need to be so rude. Personally I didn't think there was a lot wrong with the question asked, Pearson just looks for any excuse to be confrontational.

Football journalists and TV interviewers are shockingly *****, at the weekend if United win the first thing sky man will say to Van Gal, well Louis was that an improvement on last week at Everton ?, And Van Gal will talk to him as though he's a Fu'cking idiot and it's no more then he deserves with questions like that.

    Obviously he's a bit of a ***** but I find it funny.

I've not got much sympathy for journos, they're constantly twisting what's said for stories & I love it when they get belittled.

He has behaved more than once this season in a manner not appropriate for someone on his salary and with his responsibility for the club. He should be expected to be courteous in his answers. It looked as though he had been sacked after the strange incident when he grabbed the opposition player and wouldn't let go. I appreciate that they are under a lot of pressure, but it is not the first time that his behaviour will have reflected badly on his club. I think that he will be out at the end of the season regardless of whether Leicester stay up or not. I hope they do, as they have galvanised into a really good run and work hard all over the pitch. Just think that we were linked with Jamie Vardy at one point - shame!! We have often had the right players in our sights, but just haven't always managed to bring them in. Burnley, QPR and Sunderland to go down for me - Leicester have a fairly straight-forward run-in and ther only away game is at Sunderland.

From what I have read, he started with the statement 'I'm not going to have the criticism of the players that i have done'. The journalist asked 'what criticism?' and off he went with a diatribe. From listening to it, he just sounds nasty.

I've no love for most journalists, but by the same token, noone asked Pearson to be a football manager. He knows what to expect, he knows what kinds of questions he'll be asked.

Most managers I see talking to the media today seem to cultivate a kind of persona, one that doesn't probably reflect what they are like at home or away from the cameras. Pearson, in my be it ever so humble opinion, doesn't and hasn't. He just seems nasty and out to get one up on people.

He'd already gone over it in previous interviews, and said I'm not talking about the criticism of my players, to which the reporter said what criticism? And he went off one saying you was here before I know you was I remember you,

Nice to see a journalist getting a taste of their own medicine for a change. I bet he wasn't expecting to be ripped to pieces by Nigel Pearson. Asking the same old questions will get boring to answer. The Ostrich comment was genius. The journo was ermm and stuttering away which Nigel picked up on. Had him totally flustered and he was calm all the way through. With comments this week from the likes of Lee Gregory, Steve Evans, Jose Mourinho and Nigel Pearson, Football has been more interesting than usual.

When they're not asking silly questions, they're asking the same ones over and over again, even when they've been answered, when that's dried up they just state the obvious, Van Gal is amazing at making the interviewer work for his money and ask questions, sky's touch line reporter is a special kind of **** and LVG gives it him with short answers and dirty looks, LVG hands in his team sheet and Rooney as dropped to bench, bellend from sky will say ... Well Louis Rooney is on the bench ? LVG yes, bellend so it's a more traditional 442 today, LVG yes, bellend from sky .... so you'll be trying to win the game from the off then with two up top, LVG yes, bellend from Sky you'll no doubt be looking for a positive reaction from your players after last weeks defeat LGV yes, and with each reply of yes comes a look as if to say Fu'cking hell your really **** you mate,

Football journalism is banal, in keeping with the dumbed down Britain we live in. I'd be hard pushed to keep my head if I was faced with dealing with such nonsense on a daily basis.

To be honest I'm not particularly bothered if the journalists question was a dumb one or not end of the day I just can't stand Pearson, to me he comes across as a horrible bloke, the questions are all part and parcel of the job if he doesn't like it then pack it in, I get asked some of the most ridiculous questions in my job but I answer them in a professional manner.

A thick bloke with an overinflated ego who desperately wants to be thought of as clever and witty but instead just looks an unnecessarily confrontational ****er.

As much as I despise the guy, at least he's had the decency to apologise for what he said. That improves my opinion of him very slightly

Have Leicester players been unfairly criticised this season? Not that I've heard of.

I think 'what criticism?' is a fair question.
