Like a good lad, at the end of the match, I took my empty coke can with me to deposit in one of the bins. Over-zealous steward appeared and informed me that cans of drinks are banned from the ground. I gave him the empty can...........guess he'd have allowed smoke flares in! What other items are banned --- umbrellas, plastic bottles with corks, under 5's ??,
Supporters!! I was asked very sternly by a young lady steward "Do you have a ticket to be up here?" meaning the posh bit of the West stand. Yes thank's, I've had one for 35 years, who the fck are you? Don't tell me we are getting like other grounds. There was also some very rough handed stuff going on with the Wigan fans when they scored by those blue liveried stewards/cops. One or two excitably jumped the wall but they could have been put straight back, not dived on by 3 of em and marched off.
