The Truth about Odejayi If he was playing for another club in the Championship and had put in the same performances and returned the same goals per game ratio there's not a single one of us who would be happy if we heard that Davey wanted to sign him. If we could turn the clock back to the summer, there's not a single one of us who would want to sign him knowing what we know now. Yet because he's already at the club and seems like a nice guy people are defending him and saying we should persevere with him, it just doesn't seem logical. The rational thing to do is to get shut. Keeping him in the squad (along with other ***** strikers) is not helping the team and is filling a squad place that could go to someone else.

Never, in all my years of watching Barnsley Have I seen a manager have so much confidence in such a poor player. It really makes me question his ability to manage the club.
Don't beleive what Davey says, he has been trying to pillock the opposition with his tactics and his teams phantom injuries most of the season, all to no avail. If we are in this division come next season, Davey will try to find the biggest boot he could wear, open the big red gates and kick Odejayi and most of the forward line further back than my rent book.
Hope your right Quatermass otherwise Davey will be looking for a new job sooner than he thinks. You can't afford to hold grudges in football, especially in a smaller club like Barnsley. We probably have 3/4 players that don't get near the squad that could probably do a job at the moment.
Re: Odejayi is going ..... Down to League 1, along with the rest of the squad. Unfortunately, I don't think that either he or his manager will be any better in League 1.
To be honest that miss is irrelevent Players miss chances - even the likes of Ronaldo Owen and Rooney miss sitters some of the time If it had been Howard through on goal - he probably would have scored but one time in every 15 or 20 he would miss, We would still have been gutted but wouldnt have been calling for his head. The relevant fact is 2 goals all season from 40 games is the sort of return you expect from a Centre Half not a Centre forward. He isnt good enough - thats just it, and at 26 I dont think he ever will be.
If it was the first time, you could say it was unlucky. Fact is though it wasn't the first time and goals scored this season shows that.
