Whilst I've conversed with them, it's not been a revelatory discussion. Like I say, I'm either appreciative that they've heard me out and then outlined a few things to me, or I accept I'm easily led and they're using me for their own ends. But aye, it int going to be SOD.
As you rightly say, what else can we do? But everyone has their breaking point. Some have already reached theirs. There's a tremendous amount of ill feeling and toxicity around at the moment, towards the club, board, previous manager, players, fellow supporters, potential new managers.
I have no idea what you're talking about(!) We were all united behind Johnny Steele, Allan Clarke, Danny Wilson, John McSeveney (not really! ).
Which is why I suggested to them that this appointment is vital. It has to be seen as worth it (on paper). Because I'm struggling to see a manager out there who I'd deem better equipped to take us on than the manager we've just got shut of. They haven't said a peep about him, by the way. Contracts include watertight clauses disallowing such talk otherwise they waive rights to any money etc. Which is why you'll never hear Robins explain what went off, or even mouth almighty Keith Hill. But people need to remember that even Keith and Flicker once departed have gone out of their way to praise the Cryne family. Because their beef wasn't with them. It's those employed by the Cryne's who seemingly fail to come together as one. We used to assume Don was 'difficult'. Ben is now getting grief similarly. There's only one constant though, Mr Freebie....
