Very Wednesdayesq those comments. We need a referee that can handle a big stadium (30,000,lol) and big crowds (25,000 lol). Suck it up sunshine, you've just drawn with a poor Barnsley side that is in the doldrums due to bad management of finances and player recruitment of the last 4 years.

I will be honest I thought it was a foul by their forward I thought he had Kitchings arm - Id have been miffed if we had it disallowed but wouldnt have been surprised and I agree the ref was poor - first half I thought he was basically OK but second half apart from the disallowed goal he definitely favoured Ipswich and completely missed the incident where it appears Morsy ran his studs down Tedic off the ball - if he sees that Ipswich are down to 10 men I think
Kieran McKenna, like a number of our fans, needs to remember that we are playing at league one level and as such will get league one level officiating. To say he feels Portman Road’s size and atmosphere dictates Ipswich need better referees is so conceited it beggars belief. Wants to get his head from up his arse. All the ref’s at this level are a bit s.hit. If they were better they’d be in the championship or premier league. The ref’s aren’t going to get any better. We just need to hope we get as many ropey decisions go for us as we do against. Haven’t seen the disallowed goal but whether or not it was a foul, it is still a decision that went our way that otherwise might not have. It will go against us soon enough. We will have many more opportunities to moan about the quality of officiating before the end of the season. It’s our own fault for being relegated to this level.

Steve Martin is SG2 ie a Championship referee. That's not to say he's a particularly good one, but he's certainly used to handling games in bigger stadiums and with bigger crowds than Ipswich.
He sounds like a bellend but tbh for me, that’s what the top teams have. Managers who constantly bairn at refs, often create enough pressure to get decisions going their way. We’ve never had a manager like that.
For me, it looked as blatant a foul as you'll see. Kitching clears it no problem if he isn't dragged back. He even appears to knock the ball away from Andersen with the top of his arm before challenging Kitching.
What is it with these clubs I'm 54 so I remember when Ipswich were competitive at the top level but that's the 80's bit like Forest they had one genius manager who over achieved and in there head it was yesterday not 40yrs ago.
