The Oldham build up is reminding me of Chesterfield. Some people on social media are getting far too carried away. I hope we aren't going to have egg on our faces at 5pm on Saturday.

Not by me. Don't do predictions on our games. Don't do saying we're gonna win. Just wait and see. Been bitten too many times by bfc.

True. But this time we've won 5 in a row without conceding. Before Chesterfield we'd only won 3, one of which was against a League 2 side.

But yes, it would be typical of us to lose in front of a full away end with expectations so high. This run will come to an end at some point, let's hope it's not Saturday.

There is always a moment in a season the defines it. Whatever happens on Saturday I think this game is that moment. With that huge following and the run we are on if we win people will REALLY start to believe and I include the players in that. We should see some bumper home crowds, confidence flowing through the team and fantastic momentum going into the playoffs.

On the flip side we could play poorly and lose/draw. Because of the hype surrounding this game it will have a bigger negative impact than a normal loss, which we probably won't recover from and the season will fizzle out to mid table.

    No pressure then lads!

It feels more like the MK Dons FA Cup game under Flicker. I know what you mean though, that's how I felt before the game last Saturday and it seems my doubts were misplaced.

On the flip side, people have been worried about the team letting us down before each of the last couple of games. It's not happened yet and I don't think it's any more likely to happen on Saturday.

    COYR!!

100% agree with this post! Oldham will be up for this big time no matter how much the temp manager, chairman and fans play it down! I really dont want Johnson going there thinkin he knows there qualities. He may well know they but the way oldham set up will be completely different to when he was in charge.

Just hope for a good performance from the reds!
