Yep, there are a few that run it close, Fawlty Towers, Some Mothers do 'ave 'em, Blackadder, even The Inbetweeners to name a few.
Yeah that was excellent too and Kenneth MacDonald was in both It Ain't Half Hot Mum and Only Fools and Horses. Oh and before I forget... Shuuuuttttt uuuuuppppp!!!!
It was - but a bit a comedy of its time - no way could it be made today without causing great upset to the PC brigade Would still like to see it repeated somewhere though But my all time favourite Fawlty Towers - closely followed by Only Fools and Horses are timeless - if they were made this year they would still be exactly the same
You're spot on with your remarks about It anit half hot Mum and the PC brigade but after watching some of the earlier episodes of Only Fools and Horses recently I thought that there is no way they'd get away with it today - there would be too much fake outrage. Funny thing is that at the time it first aired it was just harmless comedy (and still is in my opinion) and there was nobody outraged back then. How the world has changed.
Only fools and horses is by far and away the best comedy of all time, second would be phoenix nights/max and paddy followed by open all hours
