Who needs dropping. Why is the defence crap. Great win today but we Have to alter defence. Is it a combined thing of midfield and defence not working together. If we can get it sorted we will then start winning and holding lead. I think Pedersen will get some goals for us

For me the part of the problem is the continuous changing of the defence, we need a settled back 3/4/5 or whatever imo.

I don't think anyone needs dropping. Wiseman was exceptional, M'Voto won everything in the air and Kennedy picked out pass after pass and was relatively comfortable against Hammill.

We conceded one goal from a striker that's scoring for fun. Fair enough if you'd started this topic after the Blackburn or Southampton game, but after a 2-1 win? Strange.

Again, it sounded like a match for Bobby to come on and steady the ship?

Didn't think there was much wrong with the defence today against a very good striker who escaped twice and punished us once.

The defence did well today on the whole. Jim's still not a full back though

Pollitt didn't have to make a single save in the game. The defence must have been reasonable.

Spot on. O'Brien worked his b*llocks off today, as per, but he doesn't look comfortable at wing-back. If Cranie/Nyatanga were to come into the central three, and Wiseman was pushed out to the right, then we may do well.

Noble-Lazarus played very well, and linked up with Kennedy. If he gets a good run of games in that position then I could see him becoming a much better wing-back than Golbourne.

Mvoto has lots of postive attributes; strong, pretty quick, decent engine, gets his foot in etc., but he wins headers but he is not a good header of the ball, he doesn't get much distance on them and his distribution is poor. I agree his weak header cost us the goal. All things considered his strengths outweigh his weaknesses imho.

We looked nervy more than poor today.

I think when Cranie comes back & takes M'Voto's place we'll be back to the back 3 that did so well at the back end of last season and we'll look better.

Cranie for M'Voto for me - nothing against him I just think we are a lot more solid when he plays and Wiseman has been excellent. Don't think Lewin "tangs" Nytanga is guaranteed a start but he will definitely keep whoever is playing on their toes.

M'Voto made a few errors but on the whole the defence looked solid today. I don't want to criticise JOB too much because he is playing out of position but he gives it 100%.
