They were certainly on the ball with regards to our new signing. They knew half an hour ago. http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/199983-barnsley-signs-a-striker/
don't quite get where they're coming from. i'd never heard of him, 'til about half an hour ago. looks like he's had moderate success, over a relatively small number of games, in a much lesser league. hopefully will do the business for us, but i'm certainly not getting carried away.
Sure they're just trying to wind each other up, can anyone on here honestly say they've heard of him? (Except maybe the guy from Norway) It would be some coincidence if out of all the potential destinations he could have gone in Europe the only two in for him were about 6 miles apart or whatever it is. I don't get their "why would anyone choose Barnsley over us argument", we've got an excellent reputation now for developing players who then go on to play for Premiership clubs...at least one a season for the last five years I reckon? Maybe hasn't always worked out but it goes to show that if you play for us you will get noticed. Is that the case at Wednesday? I don't think it is, players are in and out of the side, there's not a lot of patience with players, and they way they play doesn't necessarily suit some players either. Look at the O'Grady scenario - he should have been in their side every week when fit, and I know a few of their fans who would agree, yet Dave Jones shipped him out on loan probably believing he would weaken us further and help them stay up.
They've also adapted our old Viva Ricardo song with the "we all Wednesday aren't we?" words, ar we fook
They're taking the piss. Out of me most probably. Because they love me. In fairness, I love their forum, and there are some cracking posters on there. But unless I'm stroking their ego's or playing nicely, they don't like it. But the cracking posters see it for what it is - a ******* football forum and a bit of fun, not the means to solve the starvation of millions of African children. Serious overload at times, as it gets on here as well.
I hear CERN have called off the search for the Higgs Boson and are instead working on a way to precisely measure Wednesday's massiveness.
According to Newsnow, it was on the BBC website at 1.00 pm!! http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/Barnsley
Well, that's what it states on the link - BUT it is unusual for the BBC to be early with any news on the Reds!!
