Does anyone know weather a traffic warden can give u a ticket for parking in a disabled spot for 2mins whilst nipping into the shop he didnt put a ticket on my window as i was driving away he approached my window and said im putting a ticket in the post.
Errr, yes! It doesn't matter how long you were parked there. If you're not disabled and don't have a blue/orange badge(?) then you're not allowed to park there. Use your brain and have some consideration!
I always thought that they had to physically ticket you to enforce it but maybe the law has changed recently. I was driving in London the other day and was alarmed at a camera flash in my rearview. I looked, dreading the worst, but ut was actually a traffic warden photographing an illegally parked vehicle - they never used to do that, so God knows what the rules are these days. In any event, as "Guest" says - use your loaf, a colour scan of a disabled badge printed on thick paper is all you need. I carry a copy of my mother-in-law's badge at all times for situations such as those.
RE: I always thought that they had to physically ticket you Or just use normal parking spaces, and have the consideration to leave the disabled ones for those with a disability and instead of being lazy, actually have a genuine reason why they can't walk halfway across a carpark.
He has to have photographic evidence Denial is the best course of action, if he hadn't taken a photo its your word against his.</p>
RE: Or for those abusing the system on incapacity benefit? What's that got to do with disabled parking spaces? And, if that was a dig at me I hate to break it to you but I have a job, aswell as being in full time further education. Bless.
RE: You fu cking arsehole. Having been a disabled badge holder since 1997 (which I got because they took half of the muscle out of my leg so that EVERY step I take hurts, and hurts even more now that I've had radiotherapy and god knows what else) I know the frustration caused by people like the poster who 'just pop in for two minutes, or the ****** who 'copies my Mother in Laws Badge'. I REALLY do hope it comes to you some time. In the USA they have fines for people who park in disabled bays without badges. About time they brought it in here too. In ten years I have claimed benefit for no more than a few weeks, and then only because I had to. So shove your generalisations up your arse and have a lovely Xmas. ******.
RE: You fu Well said, Steve. Personally, I don't have any disabilities, but I have the consideration not to take up a disabled parking space. People who do, should be ashamed of theirselves.
Yeah Steve, and my name really IS "Vim Fuego" too. I don't mean to make light of an issue that genuinely affects people, but do you honestly think I was serious about the badge? God you're easily taken in.
RE: hope you do get fined YOUR ALL *******! I WAS 2 MINS AND THERE WERE LOADS OF DISABLED SPACES AND NO OTHERS.
So? That doesn't make it right, it looks like you're the "fecking ******" here. You should be ashamed of yourself.
wooo steady on. calling us ******, i think you deserve it. ive had a couple of parking fines myself im no saint, but also accept that i deserved them. though ive never parked in a disabled space unlawfully
Eyup Steve. Just read that twice. I'm troubled by the ''I REALLY do hope it comes to you some time'' statement. Are you wishing disability on folk there? Or did I miss something? Don't let anyone drag you down to that level cocker. You are a million times better than that. Have a great Christmas. And good luck with the jumpers this year.
