Anyone know if my daughter's passport will be valid for a trip abroad in May, if the expiry date is June? (Think there's some rule about being within 6 months of expiry?)
Can't find it on the website, and the helpline is £1.50 a minute to listen to a slow speaking robot, who has 10 minutes worth of options.

Assuming I have to renew, what is the turnaround time if done at Post Office? Or am I looking at a taxi to Peterborough?!!

    Cheers in advance.

It depends on the Country you're going to. Each Country has their own rules on how long a passport should have to run.

I got mine back in just over a week, it was a renewal.

Filled it in online, they sent it to me, got a new photo from Klik, went to post office who checked it and sent it for me. Expensive though, about £75 ish + post office checking fee.

I think that there may be a problem if the appearance on the the old photo and new photo is significantly different. e.g. if she still has her baby photo on the old passport.
