Been running a NAS drive for music storage without problems for a few months. Recently upgraded (?) to a new pc with Vista and it worked ok at first then had horrendous problems culminating in a full system resore back to factory settings. Put the NAS drive back on and now the pc won't recognise it at all. I run a Sonos audio system off the NAS and this is working fine so I'm assuming it's the pc rather than the NAS drive or router. Anyone got any suggestions?

What do you mean "it won't recognise it?"

How are you trying to connecto the the NAS?
    Make & Model?

If I click on the network tab the drive doesn't appear, I can't access it via the network tab or the computer tab from the start menu or via itunes. Its a WD My Book World Edition and is connected via an ethernet connection. That's about as technical as I can get, as a pc engineer I make a good road sweeper!

what happens if you try to access it via the ip address direct in your browser? The ip will likely be 192.168.x.x .
