Just upgraded my phone and want to give my own phone to the Mrs who's with another network. Has anyone used any of the free internet unlocking sites with success and no problems, or should I stop being tight and pay a tenner or so in town?

    I have

No problems (with old Nokia phones), although I had to try a different site with one of my phones as the first set of codes didn't work.

Oh, and read the instructions properly about getting p and w while entering numbers (I kind of skipped a bit I shouldn't have).

If it's out of contract, can't you ring the network and have them unlock it for you? nt

    RE: Cheers

I just googled it. I've done that again now and http://unlock.nokiafree.org/ looks familiar but it's probably better to go with the one doddy suggested as he sounds a lot more sure than I do.
