Nana Boakye-Yiadom, Martin Cranie, Kane Hemmings, Leroy Lita, Jean-Yves M’Voto and Rhys Oates. The Club has also placed James Bailey and Milan Lalkovic on the Transfer List who are available for immediate transfer to another club. The Club is in dialogue with Lewin Nyatanga and will keep supporters updated as to the progress of future negotiations. Further, the Club has offered a new contract to George Maris. Academy Players, Bailey Gooda and Matthew Templeton will be offered Third Year Scholarship terms.
I thought there would be more than this. Isn't Jennings out of contract? No mention of whether he has been offered a new deal or not. Is there more information to come from the club?
Personally, I'm a little sad to see Cranie & Oates leaving (along with Bailey being made available for transfer). However, the manager must be allowed to assemble his squad for next season as he sees fit, in my opinion.
Odd list. Thought that Oates did much more than Maris to warrant a new contract. Bailey and Lalkovic on the transfer market yet we are sticking with Dale Jennings for a third season? Bailey on the transfer market probably (maybe) means Paul Digby is going to get a run in the team now in place of Pearson.
Jennings has another year left on his contract. Wouldnt have been surprised to see him also on the transfer list - Id rather keep Lalcovic
Surprised at oates. Worth another season. Bailey too hot and cold same with lalkavic. Scowen and berry first choice in the centre of the park... Digby in reserve worries me.... .
Bailey doesn't work hard enough to fit in a midfield with Hourihane. Can't afford two 'luxury players' in there so to get rid makes sense. Especially as I can't imagine he'll be cheap. Cranie will be financial. Oates is a shame, he looked like he was developing. Glad to see the back of Hemmings and Lita. Although it must mean we've got at least 2 forward lined up. Exciting times.
Agree with that. Only seen Oates a couple of times but i've liked the look of him and a pity they've not given him a year extension to see how he develops. Especially as we've only Winnall as a striker now.
LJ has also stated that he'd like to bring Pearson in on a permanent basis of possible and if not on loan.
He seems to have made reasonable decisions, although a shame that Oates didn't make it. Glad to see he has the same opinion of Lalkovic as I do! Crainie's wages should hopefully free up enough for 2 or 3 players.
Agree with most of those released players apart from Oates, I don't think he's been too bad to warrant an extension. I'm not sure on the transfer listed players, I'd have thought Bailey would be a decent squad member to have but I suppose if he's on a big wage that can be used to get other players.
Cranie was on transfer list last summer, no one wanted him, bailey could be same don't automatically think he'll leave just because he's transfer listed,
Would've liked to have seen Oates get another year but Johnson's seen a lot more of him than us so maybe he feels he hasn't got it. Cranie one is understandable given his rumoured wage & the emergence of Holgate. The rest of the released I'd agree with. Don't rate Lalkovic at all but I do rate Bailey so a bit sad to see him likely to leave. I do like that Johnson isn't messing about though. Making tough decisions. I believe Jennings isn't on the transfer list because currently we wouldn't get any money for him & I can only think that the board & Johnson are hoping he can have a good pre-season & can either be a useful player or a saleable asset in January after the money we spent on him originally.
I'd like us to bring in Messi and Ronaldo on permanent deals too. Can't see Pearson being here again. He's highly rated at United and stands a chance of getting first team games for them. He will go on their stateside pre season tour to stake his claim. If that doesn't work out he will sign on loan for a championship club. I can't see United seeing him sent for another season in league one as good for his development.
Dale Jennings was given a 3 year deal, which aint worked out for us so far, Danny fetched 3 players in on 3 year deals Winnall, Hourihane and Berry and each has contributed well this season with 2 of those having added value to their stock. Wonder if Jonners will hand out 3 year deals to new recruits and how successful they will be. Out of the four above you probably would have said Jennings would have given us most, but that aint been the case. Young lower League so called ***** came up with goods and then add to that LJ`s capture of Scowan on a 2 and haif year deal emphasises that not all those at he bottom of the barrel are rotten. Lets just hope Dale can contribute in his last season because we all know he`s gorrit.
