Worrying times with the past few weeks showings. Just don't see this side getting promoted this season. They've gone flat at the worst point of the season. Wednesday have found a way to win again. Sound fickle, but just don't see the reds getting past bolton and there dirty tactics. I guess time will tell, glass half empty feeling at the moment. Duff now has to work some magic
I think the layperson would be fancying Bolton.. in decent form, already been to Wembley once this season and beaten the L1 champions 4-0..
We'll lose 1-0 at theirs, win 1-0 at ours and then I wouldn't put it past us to score an own goal in penalties such is our lack of experience.
Think there's some over reacting going off here. The players will be focused, energised and ready for next week. Book Mark me.
We’ll be judged on the next two games, not the last two. But we need a big improvement over the last few games. If we play like we did today in the playoffs, we’ll lose both legs.
I think knowing we had 4th spot since losing to Ipswich hasn't helped and we've took the foot off the gas a little. But safe to say MD will have us fired up for Bolton
In my years of watching the reds I've learned to lower your expectations. And then if we do get to Wembley your pleasantly surprised.
Last few games I think we’ve eased off knowing that we are in playoffs players have not wanted to get booked/sent off or injured knowing so close to Wembley think we will see different performances in play off games
My worry is the league games against Bolton, l also fear Wednesday in the final, Windass will be back but hopefully not match fit, they've really missed him - probably cost them a top two finish.
Today means nowt..Dead rubber no stress. it matters next week and the following Friday. Some folk are losing their mind. Chill.
Agreed. Play off s are a different kettle of fish altogether. Felt very flat this afternoon, we had nothing to really pjay for and Peterborough were desperate for the win!
Once we had missed out on the top 2 I'm sure the players eyes were on the play offs, you don't want to be getting injured/suspended. Different mentality going into them.
So on to the play offs...if you were a betting man and did your homework.......posh had an easy win. Never fancy us against the sh#thousery of Bolton over two legs. That said...its been an amazing season, never ever thought we would finish 4th....please, please hold on to this coach.
This is also now mind games. They're manager has to now convince his team not to think we'll be a walk over.If they do they might get a nasty surprise.
Losing at Exeter was the turning point. Since then we've lost a few more and are really struggling for clean sheets. The defence look like they have never met one another.
