For stirring up an hornet's nest - this club means a lot to me and it distresses me to see what is currently happening to the club. As I said before I decided against going to the club and I will wait to see what the next 2 games bring. The protest will, more than likely, not go ahead and you have solid reasons why it shouldn't. One of the organisers was approached by Dearne FM to do a pre-recorded interview - I have warned him against this as it may be edited to suit seeing as it is pre-recorded and there would probably be some tricky questions. I feel it is immaterial now waiting for new players to fit in - we are not good enough to stay in this division under Davey. I hope a change is coming and it has to happen soon. If Davey was to keep his job beyond the next 2 games how would you feel about it?
He has until the end of the transfer window to get in a proper left-back. IF he just admitted that we actually need one it would be a start!
well said tobytykespuppy .................. (clap) (clap) (clap) Remember, none of us are happy at the moment. I would imagine Pat Cryne is the least happy of all of us. So lets sit tight and see what happens
If he has spent all his budget with adressing this issue, then he is just as culpable. It has been aparent ever since Werling left that we are insufficient in this area. Kozluk, El Haimour, and Potter will all get torn to shreds in this division. Surely someone will do us a favour and loan out a promising youngster. Speaking of which, is that Eckersley at Burnley the same one that came to us on loan? Wasn't he awful!?
so now you're giving him 6 games very generous we played better at Leicester than we did in the previous two home games and hopefully we will continue to improve over the next two games. if this is not the case and let's say the next two games are losses then we can START thinking about a change. Go back a few years and realise no-one would ever have been sacked so early in a season. This and Lescott is worth 10 million football has gone mad.
To be fair... He's come on here to apologise - so I think you're being a bit harsh. Secondly - davey has been in charge three years - don't know where this four match rubbish is coming from. It's not like we finished last year and the year before that in midtable. Managers have been sacked early in the season for years and years. If it's the right decision, it's the right decision. I agree about transfer fees though - world has lost it's mind. Completely outrageous that a country (planet dare I say?) in recession is hosting a sport which is spending millions upon millions for players who (realistically speaking) aren't world beaters. I remember when there was an issue about whether Ruud Gullit or Diego Maradona would ever transfer for £10 million. At the time I think the record was something like a couple of million. At that time I thought it was silly. £80 million for Christiano Ronaldo? It really ought to be capped. There has to be a better way than this.
you are a racist, Nudger... If a well meaning young Maltese comes on here... you get stuck into 'em because some Maltesers shoot spuggies.. and when an Icelander comes on here, looking to meet new friends because his hero has signed for barnsley... you bollock him for what may or may not be in the gut of a haddock... and when a misguided, intense youth from Grimethorpe tries to start a revolution..... you just want to sweep him up into your arms and tell him he's a winner and blurt on his bellybutton....
Surely we can get one in on loan (dunno) we really need one cos Potter's nt ready yet and Kozluk's not pulling his weight.
Dont apologise for being passionate about something. You believed that action was needed, then you decided against it after seeing the reactions of your peers. You have nothing to apologise for IMHO.
Think the only thing you need to apologise for was assuming that you were speaking for the majority of fans. Hats off to you fella for seeing that what you was proposing was not the majority view and for not proceding with your intentions. Just goes to show some people do take notice of opinions written on messageboards. The protest could never be a peaceful one because the subject of it is too emotive an issue. Dont let your first foray onto this board put you off it would be good to hear from you on other footballing matters.
I agree, you only need to apologise for is for thinking you were the voice of all the fans We all want the same outcome from all this, that is a Barnsley team we can be proud of, it's just that there are so many different opinions on how to achieve this. Although at the moment it is not the majority view, if things don't improve this will probably take it's natural course to a majority view with more and more empty seats and mare and more fans making their feelings known during games which will be too loud for Mr Cryne to ignore............ If things are going to get that bad as you say, why try to push the inevitable, we've never had mass protests at Oakwell before about a manager so why start now!!!!!! like I said in the end we all want the same thing as far as BFC are concerned, it's just a question of how do we get there.
RE: you are a racist, Nudger... Viva la revolucion - come on then, Michael Noz, I'll feight thi on muckstack
RE: you are a racist, Nudger... Get down to Oakwell then and ask Rowing to organise the sale of tickets ! (casualty)
