He's a hero to every Barnsley fan. I don't want to see a legend like him being booed, jeered and ridiculed by the fickle tw@ts that get us into this mess season after season. And it would happen - we lose a couple of games, or Redfearn refuses to sign one of Shepherd's (pretty crap) suggestions, and out comes the managerial guillotine again! Bah! On the other hand, I have no idea who the right man for the job is. Dowie would make sense, giving them a kick up the (kissmyass) . Surely Blackwell is not the answer, nor McCall. Neither has achieved anything. We need someone who can make average players play out of their skin. Oh wait, Andy Richie... (doh) Please Mr Shepherd. Please make the right decision.
personally i would love to see him back at the club in some capacity but like you say, maybe not as manager.
i think he would make a great coach/reserve team manager though.

Agree about Redders Toppest of top Reds laikers imho, but needs to learn the job more before getting anywhere near Oakwell.
Winstanley back in some capacity though for me. Wealth of knowledge and dumped on by Spackman ( spit )

But ... ... Eric looks like a gay porn star, allegedly. Not that I'd know what one looks like - or owt. Joe Joyce - Indian. Winnie - Biker. Mick McCarthy - Construction worker. "Young man - there's a place you can go ..."
You know it makes sense. That big old bath at Oakwell was full to the brim with tashy man love. Phil Chambers dishing out the baby oil. Oh aye.
It brings back memories of my childhood.... 'Taches for young fullbacks, jumpers for goalposts.
BTW is it this weekend when the town's bright lights beckon?

RE: It brings back memories of my childhood.... Nope. Wakey this weekend ... we'll sort something for in the next few weeks though. I see Kendo is knocking about - has he applied for the Managers job yet? He'd be great. Winston Camp-bell right in the middle of the action. Oh aye.
