Hello BBS users, if any of you also post on Tykesmad you will know me from there and if any of you went to the East Dene meeting I was the one with the questions!!! My reason for signing up to this site and posting this thread is all to do with the Simon Davey situation. The usage of a demonstration at the Reading game next weekend is the hottest topic on Tykesmad at this moment and I know it has been mentioned on here.
I will be going to Oakwell tomorrow in the vain hope that I can speak to Patrick Cryne or someone with enough seniority to have Cryne's ear. If I get to do this it will be to put across the fan's viewpoint. I came back from the East Dene meeting and didn't post anything about it as per the request from Alan Bloore - I sent an e-mail to the club FAO Cryne and Davey with my Q & A report but I have never had an answer. I have e-mailed the club and the Supporters Trust to ask for the removal of Davey but still no answer.
I will keep you updated with the potential demonstration and the media have been contacted for coverage of this. A banner has been made and some fans were going down to Oakwell today to have their photos taken with it at the club. What I am now wanting from you are any comments that you want me to put across to the club if I do get to speak to anybody tomorrow. Please keep them clean!!!
It is a sad situation to be in but I cannot bear to watch any more of Davey's football - if Cryne will do the right thing then at least a new manager might have the International break to consolidate and get us some defensive cover - something Davey seems to think we are okay for!!! Anyway over to yuo guys and girls - I will drop in later to pick up your comments.

    tobytykespuppy.................DON'T FOOOKING BOTHER !!!

......on my account.........because you are not representing my points of view !!!

FFS !!! we are only into our 4th game of the season...........cant you wait until November to find out what is happening then

Any demonstrations now will only muddy the waters and make things worse for the club

Please please please give Pat Cryne the time to sort things out............WHEN AND IF HE NEEDS TO SORT THEM OUT

I just hope that, in forcing Davey out, those responsible don't force Cryne out as well.

Be careful what you wish for!

4th game in and they are wanting the manager sacked.........are they bonkers or what !!!

We all know it looks like a re-run of the last 3 seasons...........but it might not be
So we have to let the people at the club get on with the job

There's a right time and place, and this isn't it

Plus - I'm sure PC can do without the hassle at this moment

Ridiculous, you'll do more harm than good

Patrick Cryne has always stated he hates the attention being the owner of Barnsley Football Club brings, and this will only force him to look for a way out.

Have faith in Patrick to push the button at the right time, and if that right time isn't now, just get behind the players on the pitch and let the club get on with things.

    you don't speak for me

Who made you spokesman for the majority?
Not even the majority at Leics were calling for him to go.
4 games thats all, 10 games in maybe, but too soon yet.
Just because those that shout loudest on a couple of internet forums want him out, doesn't mean its the majority.
The majority don't even post on forums, how do you know their views.

So those who don't agree with your demo should now email the club and say so..........all you're doing is creating more division.
Get behind the team and forget about Davey. He'll either stay and you'll have to lump it or Cryne will get rid when he decides he'll get rid.........he pays the piper, he can call the tune.

Look here - I've always backed Davey until the end of last season..........when........

............I said for the benefit of the players and the fans a change of manager would be necessary to lift the club

However, Pat Cryne, who actually sees the day to day running of the club, sees things different, so we have all to RESPECT the view of Pat Cryne and let Davey get on with the job

By attacking Davey at this time you are actually undermining the decision of Pat Cryne

Pat Cryne in a shrewd business man.............he will know the time when to pull the plug on Davey

Get em told, you can speak for me

Why some people are defending Davey saying we're only 4 games in is bonkers. He's 3 seasons in and things are terrible. I'm not paying in again while he's still steering us towards league 1.

    Back off

Three signings have only just arrived at the club and one of them hasn't been allowed to play yet. Let's see what sort of team these players make us first before shooting off and upsetting the apple cart.

I have every gratitude and respect for Patrick Cryne BUT

...It has to be said - he's not made out of chuffing bone china.

Ooooooh don't rock the boat - Patrick Cryne might get upset and walk away. For me, he's either the chairman or he isn't.

If it is as some of these comments would suggest, part of the trouble might be that Mr Cryne doesn't want the grief that comes with the job? (dare I suggest it?)

That being said, I've got more faith in him than that - I'm sure he's robust enough to listen to what is coming from the fans and then make his own mind up.

I'm not into hostage taking - Davey hiding behind a human shield in Cryne - well let's get on with this shall we? The fans have every right to be heard, and if Davey is a big boy he'll either respond with some good performances or he quit the job.

As for all this talk about it being 'just four games' - I think we can all drop that rubbish. It's his fourth season. It's four games for Roy Keane at Ipswich - it's four SEASONS for Simon Davey at Barnsley.

For me it's 'Davey out!' and any section of the fan base has every right to protest outside the ground and good luck to them.

    upsetting the apple cart?

The wheels are already off the cart and the apples are lying in the road. We're in august and davey is playing 4-5-1 when 1 nil down with a winger in defence and two defenders sat on the bench
