Here’s a theory, might be an old idea, might not be feasible and might be able to drive double decker bus size holes though it . . . but anyway, see what you think.

Why doesn’t the club incorporate some sort of points type system like I think the FA do for England fans? For example, if you get a season ticket you get 25 points, every home ticket you buy you get 1 point, every away ticket you get 3 points, home cup games you get 2 points, away cup games you get 4 points and so on (I haven’t really thought the points through so don’t get on at me!).

Then when it gets to a cup game/playoff game or whatever game it is when the tickets are in high demand, there can be different categories for the number of points you’ve got. First day for 40+, second day for 35+, etc.

Not entirely sure on how it could work but surely something along these lines would stop the mayhem of the last couple of days. And no-one could ever say, “I deserve one before him because I’ve done this that and t’other . . .” because it would be down in black and white how many points you’ve got.

    Just a thought . . .

I think Leeds use a similar system, but there's way too much common sense in there for BFC

This is what I posted yesterday

    Not rocket science is it?

Most airlines do some sort of scheme with a card for clocking up air miles, shops and garages do it with Nectar cards, loyalty cards, even my local Indian does it for fecks sake!

If you clock up the right number of points you get a priority ticket and a free naan bread. What's wrong with that?

blunts fan at our place says they have the same, a credit card type season tkt that they just swipe thro at home matches, and get points for home and away matches. (his example; southampton/ colcehster on a tues nite = more points, fowls away, not so many points (although that ought to be millions, having to go there), but as someone has said.... too bloody obvious and easy for our 'lateral thinking' general manager!

Member cards - they would say too expensive

Thing is, its not a new concept. There used to be categories with number of match tickets. Why not just bring that back in. Cost £0. Ok, slightly longer to check at the ticket office, but with categories there isn't a mad rush all at once.

You're asking this of somebody who didn't think there'd be a problem selling 2 tickets per ST??

Still wouldn't work if they decide somebody with 40 points can have 2 tickets! :D
