    From what I heard

Swansea were coming at us as soon as we scored our second goal and looking at the bench, that was the best move he could have made.

If you really want to believe that

I mean you were only 250 miles or so away from the game.

i see theres a split on this thread............

between davey's fluffers / family and true barnsley fans who praise when praise is due and critiicise accordingly. as opposed to the fluffers who just wanna blow him off.......'ooh lord davey, thou for art my hero''

Are you suggesting that we have NO other defenders at the club

than hassell, foster, souza, kozluk and darren moore? no other professional footballers that are defenders? none at all?

we have only one left sided midfielder at the club? and only two right sided midfielders? is that right?

and we have only 3 central midfielders at the club? sorry 4 if we include butterfield who apparently can't be brought on when its going tits up

**** me and the blokes signed dozens and spent millions

He is supposed to be a manager and instruct his players. Tell them to not sit back and let em run at us, because what happened tonight is bound to happen
    in this league.

What do the team expect when they let players have all the space in the world??

did we send all our reserves out on loan without including any kind of recall clause as well?

I find it VERY odd that we apparently do not have 8 professional midfielders or 8 professional defenders at the club, do the reserves play 5 a side?

and are they good enough? I don't know I aint seen them.

But judging by the fact that they hardly ever get near the first team anyway, I take that as being not.

    (dunno)

    RE: meaning?

neither, just widening the discussion. its just that sometimes, anyone who says one word against lord davey gets double portioned on this site with abuse.
i for one, thought lessons would have been learnt from the games mentioned, where our defence allowed strikers to shoot late in games, and we have conceded late, crippling goals to our survival bid.

not accusing you of owt pal.

    sorry

I didn't mean to avoid it, i just somehow didnt answer it (oops)

what about the likes of Scargill, Teinan, Branson, Potter, Taylor, Heslop, JOHNSON? Or maybe atkinson and co that we sent out on loan, can they not be recalled? Most other clubs have recall clauses in loans

    Then again...

According to Radio Sheffield after we'd gone 2-0 up we moved El Haimour to left back, Van Homoet to right back and Hassell into midfield. What was so wrong with a formation that got us a 2-0 lead? Did we just invite pressure on to us?
