Score lots of goals and at 6ft 5 would add an extra dimension to our play.. Marc Janko, currently playing for Red Bulls Salzsburg...... Surely a decent offer could tempt him into English football at championship level.
Should get in there with a speculative 1.5 million bid right at start of transfer period. Put a couple of clauses in the offer that should he score 20 goals next season and we remain in champ then a further 1 million. Also clause to reduce offer if not immediately accepted ie club wait til last day of transfer window looking for alternative offers.
if only it were that simple. His agent will have spoken to every Premiership manager/chairman that will listen before we get anywhere near. Any bid from us would just be used to entice other bids. Added to which, he doesnt have the Championship track record that has been stipulated as our main requirement.
