Mine's probably the Beefeater in Cumbernauld if that counts

Or Carrigans in Blantyre, the one where they don't stab each other :D

Loch Ness Lodge Hotel in Drumnadrochit

Where we spent our honeymoon. Also, the Caledonian Hotel in Fort Augustus.

    Hootenanny - Inverness...

or the Claunie Inn, Glen Sheil which while largely ***** has been a welcome oasis after a munro bagging epic

    Glen Shiel?

Is that on the West coast, just North of Fort William? Or am I thinking of Loch Shiel?

in Glencoe. Really is hard to beat but the Oyster Catcher at Otter Ferry on Loch Fyne just about does on a sunny day. If you ever get the chance to go to either to stay or just for a drink/food then grab it.

    Jollies, Broughty Ferry

Went on a cricket tour there once. Aptly named pub.

Interesting clientele on the dance floor, had to turn down several singles to avoid getting onto a sticky wicket. Nearly got caught out after a few leg glances, but managed to keep a straight bat even when facing the most wicked bouncers, some of which nearly disturbed my helmet. After a few too many I finally had to declare leaving the rest of the crew to follow on. Most of them were stumped by that time but one couple started a long partnership which remains unbroken to this day. The next morning I was troubled by some early movement but survived until it stopped swinging. Had a good day until it started to reverse later on, by which time we were back in Jollies for the second innings. It was a struggle the second time around as two of our team retired hurt in search of new balls.

    What a week-end.
