Stay well clear .... you won't be made welcome! ...... .... the Travellers at the bottom of Wadsley Bridge (and the one other next to it, can't remember it's name) full of their idiots and we know from past visits they think nowt of even attacking adults in shirts with kids, set of deedah w*nkers the lot of 'em
RE: Stay well clear .... you won't be made welcome! ...... probably best going somewhere away from ground like crookes etc
Grenoside a good bet Away fans always welcome in Greno - several pubs to choose from. Norfolk arms on A61., or the village pubs - the angel or Red Lion or Cow & Calf. Usually a fair no of Reds fans in the village (quite a few of us live here). 2 miles downhill walk to ground or bus service on A61 Halifax Rd. Unfortunately I can't be there this time - cousins wedding - nightmare!!!! I wouldn't even try getting any closer for a drink - Police won't let you in. If coming from other side, try New Barrack Tavern - about mile from ground... good for Real ALe drinkers - but sometimes Police don't let away fans in if overcrowded.
You won't need a swift getaway by the time we've finished celebrating Nardi's winner, all the fowls will have gone
RE: You won't need a swift getaway I rather think we'll be away by 4.20 when they have just gone 2-0 up and the 2nd chorus of 'The Dingle Family' fires up.
RE: You won't need a swift getaway I have never seen a win at Swillsboro. Worst night was there when they beat us 3-1 when Spackman was "in charge". At least summat good came out of it. I tell a lie, I remember us beating them in the ZDS on penalties late 80's early 90's?
RE: You won't need a swift getaway My first visit was 1979 when we did them 2-0, then I enjoyed several visits in the early 80's when we won once, but in the other games made them look daft.
Then it all went horribly horribly wrong.

Not true. I was bald until I was 7. Then I had a few tufts until my 21st. Then bald again. 1979. That's brilliant. I bet TM hadn't even thought of visiting all 92 grounds in the football association. Were they playing with a ball made from a cats belly, or summat?
Yes but If you go down any further than the Post Office at Birley Carr they have police cones on the road. Also worth turning car round to point back up the hill. suggest you look to park somewhere just after the Fox pub.
True. I bet Birds Eye hadn't even coughed his filthy yoghurt into TM's Mum. They were busy tie-dyeing their flares and that. Did you purchase any black & white confectionary? Maybe some type of chocolate that melts in your mouth, not in your healing hands?
