    Was a great tune to be a fan, 92’s separations hinted but in 93 when gift released Intro it just seemed at last the band had something going for it. Smaller gigs began to sell out, Southampton joiners, wedge wood rooms in southsea were both mental. I stood next to joe strummer whilst Elastica supported st the wedge… I’ve never been as star struck

    Great news. Common People was one of the best songs of the 1990s and they were a huge part of the Brit Pop era which is my favourite ever.
