I don't speak for all supporters of DRFC but as far as I am concerned I love football, I am Donny born and bred so support DRFC. However if a local team have got a good match against a non-local team then I will always back the local team What really p*sses me off is people from Donny, Rotherham, Barnsley, etc who support teams like MUFC and LUFC. I still hope you have a brilliant game tomorrow and even if you lose will be happy that you will have had a nice financial boost! For what it's worth I've been to Oakwell several times and have enjoyed every match obviously I've enjoyed it better if we've beaten you but appreciate that you play good football and have a good fanbase. Sorry for the long winded answer but I think for some people the game is just an excuse to slag off other towns, people etc
Well said lass. I remember when Barnsley v Donny was known as the 'pitmens derby' and played in an atmosphere of mutual respect for kindred spirits.
Sadly those days are long gone and kids today seem to be brought up with a tribal attitude and an inbred hatred for the opposition.
Sad.

Thank you luv I really hope you make promotion. And thanks for the good wishes. Its been nice to hear all the local fans wishing us well.
RE: Well said lass. That's ******. Football without rivalry and banter would die a slow death. The key is that the rivalry and banter is strictly kept to the verbals and nothing more, We don't want to get to be like Leeds Fans now do we, where rivalry turns to violence?? Donnylass - you speak about football wih a typical 'feminist' 'I want everyone to do well attitude'. Football is strictly for blokes luv.
RE: Thank you luv Has it not struck people these 'best wishes' are more to do with wanting to see Chelsea lose than Barnsley win??
RE: Does it matter? nt Only when people get dewy eyed about how loving our rival fans are towards us.
