    Getting the following error on websites that run Quicktime video clips

    Not the most helpful of messages!

    "QuickTime is missing software to perform this operation. Unfortunately, it is not available on the Quick Time server"

    I believe it's some software I don't have that isn't on the QuickTime server

    you are probably missing a codec

    couple of options

    uninstall Quicktime and reload the latest free version.

    If that doesnt work a quick hunt on the forums indicates that missing a divx codec is a common fault so you could try just installing one
