Running another quiz in May and looking for some novel ideas for rounds of questions. Done the sport, music, pictures etc and I like to do a marathon question - one that they can look at all the way through the other rounds (last time I did company logos) Any ideas? anyone?
Couple of ideas. I went to one recently where the picture round was a load of pictures of pubs in the local area with the names photoshopped out. It was loads of fun, but it depends on how many pubs there are local to the place you're doing it and whether you reckon the crowd would enjoy that. Another one was the reverse of 1 euro coins - they're different for every country in the Eurozone, and given the coin you had to work out which country it was minted in. That's a good one because some of them are obvious but most of them have a few clues which mean you can work it out given a bit of time.
how about Road maps of sites of famous places/ football grounds/ castles/ landmarks etc (with the famous place blocked out) Anything that illustrates the ignorance of people with sat navs & the inability to navigate is great by me. (Y)
There's only 1 tube station name that doesn't include a letter from the word .... MACKEREL Name the station?

They can do that with anagrams. Plus it brings intelligence into play and not just knowledge.
