"A word on barnsley. They were ****, but they were organised well drilled and up for it. They hustled all game and had clearly done their homework on how we like to play and shut that down. in comparison we were sluggish passive and devoid of direction." Not that **** tho, eh? I'll take "up for it". http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=122318&start=40
I'll take being ****, organized and up for it from now until the end of the season. It worked last time, it could work again!
A bit further on reads... "They then scored two very nice goals, and we went from below average to shocking. They looked like playoff candidates rather than relegation fodder," Which is nice to see for once
I'll take '**** but well organised' when it means we win rather than than '****, badly organised & carrying passengers (Mellis/McCourt) which we've done all season
I know what you're saying mate, and you definitely have a point, but our only other away victory this season came at Brighton where, ironically enough, the two goalscorers were Mellis and McCourt.
We've been **** most of the season. Our organisation most of the season has been poor. Players out of position, huge gaps in the centre of midfield etc. The two I mentioned only tend to perform one every 5 or 6 games & if they aren't playing well offer nothing to the team in terms of effort & team shape. Bench players for if we're chasing a game IMO. Not sure which part you take issue with.
The tiresome criticism of a guy who has hardly had any game time under the current manager. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion and so am I. It's just that, at times, yours comes across as being on a par with Hemmsy's obsession with Hassell and Steele (which he gets roundly criticised for).
Which one? I don't think I've said anything harsh at all, we need 11 players battling & delivering consistent performances like we had last season to stay up & I used them two as examples of players that don't offer that. I could understand if you said I give too much stick to Kennedy or M'Voto as I've moaned about them plenty of times.
I saw a good read elsewherebesides: 'Barnsley were time wasting from the start and clearly had come for a draw or damage limitation exercise'
