I think its the fact that you choose to post about that, and not the fact we've just stuffed our yorkshire rivals and are now actually playing football rather than hoofball.
I seem to to recall that some posters at the start of the season thought that we were immediately destined for relegation and would be down by Christmas - if we finish with as many points as last season having made serious economies that would be fairly sucessfull dont you think. Come on be honest wouldnt you have said 33 points from 24 games by the end of the year was a fairly sucessful first half of the season
Agree absolutely 100%, Farnham. Not sure why my post would be taken as negative. Just saying, job only half done - as Captain Von Trapp himself says, we don't get excited by individual wins any more than individual losses. Still, double over our noisy neighbours is pretty good, innit?
Might have your seasons wrong way round as only -1 now. Think we will certainly have better second half than last season
Rest of season is difficult to predict but nice to end year on a positive note No foreign legion at Oakwell now forget stats points or previous seasons just enjoy what the club is achieving with limited resources and falling attendances.
Them stats seem to be running parallel upto the new year and like Robins first 24 games, taking over in bottom place, they are quite similar too P24 Pts 38 F35 A 32. Robins seasons tailed off lets hope we carry on in the same vein for the rest of the seasons fixtures. Transfer windows ins and outs can upset squads as well as strengthen them hoping once more that we dont tinker too much with what we have had so far.
