    While it will never hit the heights of the early seasons the last 2 they put out were very good. I'm looking forward to this, let's face it we need something to laugh about

    The first of the new series didn’t work at all. I think they got rid of the canned laughter, which meant that every joke was followed by stony silence. Only seen a handful of subsequent episodes, but they were an improvement.

    There was never any canned laughter, actually, it was filmed in front of an audience. The Back to Earth ones weren't

    Read a interview with Danny John Jules the other week pointing out half the cast were black long before we had quotas and targets for diversity. And that during the shows run spanning decades now skin colour has never been mentioned once on screen.

    The acting in that episode is truly epic. I also loved Marooned. Barrie and Charles almost all episode alone, absolutely brilliant stuff.
