    why was a ref from the midlands allowed to referee a game being played by a midlands team?:eek: (N) or am i missing summat?

    midlands is a very large area

    It is like saying a referee from the north shouldnt be in charge of a barnsley game

    Never seen a South Yorkshire referee, cover a Barnsley match, other than one involbing another South Yorks. side.

    How were the players with the referee?....

    Isn't there a sort of no-nonsense approach now where the players aren't allowed to back-chat and slag off decisions? (dunno)
