Well reffed he took a lot of stress out of the game for me, then Freiser came on and spoilt it.

 

The subs spoilt it for me.

We all remember him against Liverpool and last night, but the above game is the only other time he's reffed us. What a horrible match with our injury prone player going off injured early, getting tonked in a home local derby and having a man sent off.

 

Apart from the offside goal the officials , all of them , did well

 

Please stop saying it was offside. Makes us seem like cry babies. It was on.

I'm not normally a fan of Martin Atkinson (I do hold a grudge!), but I thought he and his assistants officiated the match very well. As has been pointed out in this thread, a great deal of credit must also be given to the players for their attitude and approach to the game, too.

 

He used to be a serving police officer for West Yorkshire Police about 10+ years ago, pulling a salary and barely working a shift by all accounts. Assuming hes packed that in now.
