For any catholics reading, Kettle Jr. is proof of evolution! Best referee we’ve had at Oakwell in a long, long time. The two teams made it easy for him, granted, with no bad tackles or rugby tactics at corners, but a few times when their players fell theatrically he didn’t fall for the dives. And this was his first L1 game in his first season, apparently.

It would have been interesting to see how he’d have managed on Saturday, against Wigan’s anti-football, with all the wrestling at corners, diving, feigning injury, etc.

Aww I heard when the lad got home tonight, his dad Trevor booked him for poorly parking the car.
And on top of his 'positive' performance in the match, he was given a verbal warning, and a second booking meant off to bed early with no supper.
