69. Patrick Cryne £30m Barnsley Age 58, last year £30m (64th) Lifelong Barnsley fan Cryne took over at Oakwell in 2004 and has kept the club afloat since then. He made his money on the other side of the Pennines through software company Isoft. Two years after a £10m management buyout, he took ISoft to the stock market valued at £100m; three years later there was an £800m merger with rival Torex. Cryne stepped down as executive chairman in October 2005 but remained at the group until February 2006 in a business development role. He sold at least £38m worth of shares over the years. He also has a £1.4m stake in a Cheshire golf club.

I think that some of the owners have a lot more than it says. Sheff u's owner does i think. it says Preston's owner has lost 600 million while man u owners have made 400 million.
