the folk who were booing richards when his name was announced on the teamsheet just before the start of the game....................
w**kers,the lot of yer

not as bad as the old men in the east stand who winge for 90 minutes. Theu should just **** off and not come. They arent "supporters".
no, dont know him from adam and i am not a massive fan of his either i just think it stinks when folk boo a player from their own team before we have even kicked off.

Agrre.
That is totally out of order and I hate it myself.
Having said that, the ground was, once again, like a morgue for most parts of the game.
I feel sorry for Richards.
I'm not his biggest fan and if I am honest I would like to think that the money spent on an 18 month contract for him could have been better utilised elsewhere, however, he was awful for 80% today.
He then turned it around and scored a cracking goal which turned the game.
I had the binoculars on the away end when he scored and it was a lovely goal, so good luck to him, but the chances he missed in the first half and his overall positioning were just awful and he kept berating his colleagues when goals were missed or he failed to capitalise on them.
.But then you think - yes, they are a very young team and still learning.
One day we wil reach the heights.
Mebbee not this year then....

RICHARDS CANT HEAD A BALL , CANT JUMP ,CANT PASS A BALL & CANT SHOOT SO AS I SEE IT HE IS **** THERE HAS GOT TO BE BETTER STRIKERS OUT THERE I HAVE SEEN BETTER IN SUNDAY LEAGUE
Anyone who thinks Richards is a good player needs their head examining. In over 45 years of watching the Reds I have never seen a poorer striker in the team. Even in the dark days of the mid 60's when we were bringing in non-league players. Before we signed him he had scored 19 goals in his last 89 games. Hardly prolific. Richards did score today it was a good goal but his overall game is poor.He would be better off in League 2. He took his goal well today but he was unmarked and playing against one of the worst defences in the league, and how he managed to head over from 3 yards when the ball was perfectly flighted to him is beyond words. To days goal no doubt will give Ritchie an excuse to play him every game.
How can you watch football for 45 yrs and still know f all about the game? Were you on of the one booing him yesterday? doubtless you were.
Well done Marc Richards I thought he played well yesterday. Won a lot of headers, put himself about as usual, was prepared to have a shot at goal and scored with a neat turn and finish. Funny how his first touch was to play a lovely ball to Shuker who in turn played in Burns but Burns control let him down. Plenty of "hard luck" for Burns but no "well done" for Richards. I was well pleased when he scored. I looked around me to see a lot of peoples semi embarrasement as they celebrated his goal.
Shows that a bit of Booing gets a player going. Young Choppa was **** until the watershed of the Donny home game. When the fans vented their frustration and not being willing to put up with **** play and for the player/players to pull their finger out.

RE: Shows that a bit of Booing gets a player going. Looked sharp for Newcastle om MOTD last night didnt he? I think hes near a breakthrough there!
Obviously you witnessed his performance at Port Vale and Walsal. I didn't boo but was disgusted with Ritcie's selection. Yes he did score a good goal something like his third in open play in around 21 games, and do't tell me he contributes other things to the team, he's poor and i think it wa sa mistake to give him a contract for 18 months. Personally i think Ritchie should have extended it to the end of this season and the reassessed.
RE: With a non existent midfield , the forwards couldnt do much agin Walsall. ok see your point, It was a bad team performance from start to finish, but was that the excuse at Port Vale when Richards started and in the first half we created nothing.
Didnt go to Port Vale, I am not Richards biggest fan as he has looked very limited when he has played. Maybe he is getting better.
