Sounds like Boggy on wing or maybe 4-3-3, either way total nonsense. So much for a settled 4-4-2 playing recognised wide-men, it's not like we don't have any wingers anymore !

Plain and simple, if we don't get shut of Davey soon we are totally doomed !

Did you see the Coventry and Preston games when we played 4-4-2?

People think 4-4-2 is somehow a magical formation. It isn't.

    Thank you.

My faith in this BBS has been restored.

If he'd continue with 442 and still conceded over 2 a game he'd be getting slaughtered. Now he's getting slaughtered for changing it. Unreal.

It is if you play the correct players in the correct position. We were weak in those 2 games becasue we didn't have enough bite in the middle of the park but with Colace back, we should now be stronger there.

    The problem is Jay

that we have a great shortage of attacking central midfielders. Our only chances come from the wing and so we can't play 3 in midfield because we don't have the players to do it. 4-5-1 is the same problem, who's the attacking midfielder? We don't have one, also can we play with just one striker? Its not like we've got any that hit the back of the net regularly.

4-4-2 isn't some magical formation but daveys squad is so unbalanced that it is basically the only formation he has the players for.

    It's not about formations..

it's about organisation and players doing their jobs. Too frequently when we "play" 4-4-2, we end up with the wingers coming inside.

    Radio Sheffield said...

that Halifredsson looked lively and looked like an attacking midfielder on Saturday.

Not that I'm suggesting that the Radio Sheff analyst knows what he's talking about any more than anyone else - but he did say he thought Colace & Halifredsson looked like it might be a duo with a decent balance.

    At least you've commited yourself

Seems no matter what Davey does, he's always wrong. You've slated his formation before a ball's been kicked tonight, so we'll see at the end of the game from those that went whether this formation worked or not.

Doomed, doomed I tell you! Give me effing strength...

sorry we have no attacking midfielder with any experience of professional football

we've got a young lad thrown in at the not so shallow end and he's doing his best but we dont have a recognised experienced attacking central midfielder at the club. We sold him for peanuts to sheff utd

    Awesome mate

Typical we play Reading midweek not long after I finished working in bloody Reading! Thats the downside, I'll miss travelling with that lot, big time.

Glad you've sorted some work, good news.

    Nothing to do with Davey

They've won despite him. Quite obviously.
