Driving test, am i meant to check my drvers side blind spot at any other times apart from when i've been asked to stop on the left hand side of the road and start again? You get told to check when been in traic but if i didn't would they mark me down or that?
Best policy is to just use your common sense HT. If you're sat in the driving seat and think 'Something COULD be in my blind spot which I might hit if I do whatever I want to do next' then have a look around, it can't hurt anything. There are quite a few reasons you may need to know what's in your blind spot so it really is just down to thinking about it yourself, when you relax you'll know when to check.
Put it this way, if you were in a shopping centre and were gunna walk in a different direction would you look behind you before making the move? Probably not actually, especially at this time of the year!
I did and failed because i failed to check the drivers side blind spot. I think it was the three times I stopped at the side of the road. PS. I knew there was nothing there because when he was talking i was checking the two mirrors. you lot wo passed first time can have a good laugh now.
I think it was. The driving instructor said when i got back to test centre at pontefract. Your general driving was good BUT.
I pray for the sanity of your driving instructor Every lesson must be like an episode of "some mothers do ave em".
You need to know what is going on around you, not just in front of you. Observation, observation, observation.
You basically need to check your mirrors constantly while you are moving, and when you are preparing to move off, and when you are actually moving off. All the time really, just awareness mind, don't be forgetting to look out of the windscreen.
instructor says. before an hour your very good, after the hour you go off it. Talking helps me stay focused though.
Do you discuss Bobby Hassell, Luke Steele, and Gazza? Or do you just stick Talk Sport on and have a healthy debate?
all sorts of stuff. anything that pops in to one of our heads. last one was farming and them been behind because of rain. Also farmers having to take there tractor test after a year of driving on the road. Or thats what a former learner told him. She passed here tractor test on the same day as she started her car driving lessons or thats what i got told.
Doing manoeuvres, just look round a lot and take it steady. Moving away from side of road, check it. Changing lane, check it either way. Just hope tha dunt get Christine. Ex-Instructor, Mr Miserableeastander.
