British comedy at its best. Just seen a few episodes on UK Gold and they are funnier this time around than in the 70s. Leonard Rossiter = Comic Genius.
Miss Jones! Miss Jones! Agree with you - I loved watching it as a kid, but find it more funny now I'm older. They just don't make 'em like they used to.
One of the best things that ever came out of Yorkshire TV.
The entire ITV network had nothing to match it.
It's only comedy rivals are Steptoe and Son, Blackadder, Allo Allo and Yes Minister (all BBC)

RE: One of the best things that ever came out of Did you ever see `A Sharp Intake Of Breath' (ATV) with David Jason and Richard Wilson brilliant comedy.
RE: One of the best things that ever came out of Yes, I saw that. A London Weekend production I think.
Good platform for later DJ stuff, but not, in my opinion, a classic.

went to see an episode being recorded in the mid/late 70's brilliant, and the cracks, puns and messing about following line **** ups was superb, a truely great comedy with 4 or so strong lead characters, we saw the episode with Peter Bowles in it
