looks like we're going with what we've got. the side that starts against Wigan will be the side that starts against Cardiff, apparently.
Not signing Thierry Henry before Friday aside, that sounds good to me - give the starting 11 a run-out 5 days before and let them know they're going to start on Saturday so they can concentrate on the job in hand. Put an end to unsettling speculation and give them a chance. We'll know soon enough if and where we need to strengthen.
If Togwell is first choice maybe Healy not guaranteed a game, also not convinced about his fitness/injury, sounds like GS being cautious too. never like it when Chairman interferes, but I think he's right to on this occasion. Much prefer us to go back and get Williamson from Rotherham.
I've just posted a thread about Healey and now you've answered my question ! So, Mr Shepherd is interfering then, where did that come from SM?
Theres inference in a thread about a foot down the page that the reason we wont sign Healy is although Ritchie wants to, GS doesnt. thats inference, down the page, not my words, etc. imho, think he's had one too many nasty injuries and we have a track record of gambles that havent worked. however, if it were a choice between Kell or Healy, then goodbye best passer.
RE: Theres inference in a thread Cheers SM. I'd forgotten about Kell. I recently met Gordon Shepherd, just before the schools broke up for the annual summer break. Gordon Shepherd was waxing lyrical about Kell. They really rate him which is why they have stuck with him so long, however he did say that he didn't know how the Kell situation was going to end.
