Waste of money or not?

Yet again him (and City) have looked ****. If City want to push on, do they need Robinho in the team or is he maybe unsettling things?

Doesn't work hard enough.

Alright, you could argue the same with Ronaldo, but the difference is that Ronaldo is playing in a world class team. He started well, but was playing up front when he first came... which is different.

As another footnote...16.5m for Nigel De Jong? He isn't worth 6.5 million.

Hughes is building a team of individuals. Think the likes of Sturridge would be much more effective for City.

Is 1 of the if not the most gifted player in the PL, should be the 1st name on any team sheet.

If Hughesless played him central instead of out wide Robinho would tear any defence to bits.

In some aspects i agree with the comment about Hughes buying individuals Sturridge, Etuhu & Evans could walk into any team outside of the 'Big 4' i also feel a tad sorry for Joe Hart he didnt do much wrong & has had his nose pushed out by the arrival of Given.

As for Micah 1 season wonder springs to mind too slow to play at full back i'd give him a season at centre half with a pacey central defensive partner to see if he improves.

City's player of the season without Stephen Ireland? Vincent Kompany without a shadow

In the summer, when City's owners throw massive amounts of cash at the tranfer market..

Should we be looking to grab a few bargins from the current squad or even loan deals??

Evans, Sturridge, Ball (out of Contract) to name but a few... I'd like to see any of the in a Barnsley shirt

Some City fans don't want them to throw money around while ever Hughesless is in charge.

If he's still in charge at the start of next season after spending big i'll give him till xmas if they are not in the top 3.

I'd love to see Evans, Sturridge & Etuhu all on season long loans next season as for Michael Ball i think he could be out of our price range he must be on 20k a week just like Danny Mills & never plays

What the hell do you watch?

Most talented :D Nice one. More so than Ronaldo? Rooney? Van Persie? Joe Cole? Gerrard? and the countless others? No. He's exactly what Ronaldinho was, a show pony and not a footballer. Ronaldinho always knew he'd be majorly found out in England, hence why he never came, and Robinho cetainly is.

Etuhu & Evans would struggle to walk into West Broms starting line up, never mind the Villa's & Evertons. And Kompany? Ok, he's not the worst player Ive ever seen, but Irelands but outrageously good this season, hes shown Robinho up.

You watch alot of City do you?

I also said Kompany for player of the season without Ireland in the running.

Robinho & Ronaldo are about on par but Robbie pisses all over Gerrard, Joe Cole, Van Persie & Rooney.

Can't agree

Robinho offers very little to the team as a whole, never tracks back, often seems selfish, misses easy chances (like today) and too often just doesn't seem up for it. Ok technically he may be one of the best, but I'd have Gerrard and Rooney for starters over him anyday. They both bring so much more to the team.

I wanted him to be a success, and at times he has, but I think it was an expensive gamble and for me, one that hasn't worked. Has he had a single good game away from home this season?!

Don't agree re. the comments on the young 'uns too. I've seen Ched Evans a lot this season, and I'm still undecided. Championship he'd be quality, but 'any team outside the Big 4'? No chance. Not unless he starts looking like he might score every now and again. Haven't seen much of the other 2, but surely the fact they're not playing for city all that much suggests they can't be THAT good?

One player I do think would get in most teams is Ireland. He's brilliant, incredibly hard-working, plenty of good aspects to his game, often gets vital goals, great team player. In fact, pretty much everything Robinho isn't

Robbie ay? :$

Robinho is better than Gerrard, Van Persie & Rooney at step overs, thats about all. Joe Cole would take him to the cleaners however. I could name you 20 attacking players in the Premier League that Id have anyday over him, infact I'm gunna go for it!

Steven Gerrard
Cesc Fabregas
Fernando Torres
Robin Van Persie
Cristiano Ronaldo
Wayne Rooney
Carlos Tevez
Dimitar Berbatov
Anderson
Ryan Giggs
Emmanuel Adebayor
Frank Lampard
Joe Cole
Theo Walcott
Ashley Young
Gabriel Agbonlahor
James Milner
Tim Cahill
Mikel Arteta

How many's that? Shall I stop yet?

Oh aye, n as for Micah Richards

Ok, maybe not had his best season, but the lad still is quality. He's big, strong, powerful and incredibly pacey. How on earth can you call him slow? I personally thought he was probably on his way to being one of the greatest defenders on the planet, and with a bit of luck can still do so with a good season next year. Wernt Alex Ferguson wanting to splash £20m on him last summer? Infact didnt he turn down Daniel Alves because he wanted Richards more?

I just hope all the money ruins Man City and not the game

My fear with the City situation is that they have, apparently, all the money in the world. We are told that they can buy anyone they please - and Robinho is apparently the first example of that. I hope all their players are the same way - cost them a fortune, act like mercenaries, and never quite fire on all cylinders. That way, maybe the billionaires ruining the game by treating clubs like toys will lose a lot of money, sod off and leave football alone. Can't say I've ever had any time for Manchester City - when they did all that damage to the North Stand after it had just been built - just because they knew that it had only just been built -totally lost any respect I might've had for for them.

RE: What did they do?

Among other things taking the toilet doors off. I can remember our first visit to the New Den, a certain person from our coach who shall remain nameless, decided it was a good idea to flood their toilets. Every club has its drongos.

Not quite sure how they got that door out?

It just disappeared apparently. Not smashed up. Not chucked over wall. Just gone!
