Left us because he knew Cryne had lost the plot slashing the budget and buying lower league players. We have been all downhill since Mark left us midtable championship. Left Coventry because he knew the Sisu were crooks who were planning on moving to Sixfields. Coventry have gone through the ringer and have almost been relegated since Mark left them at the top of the league. Left Huddersfield because he knew with the budget he had it would be near on impossible to meet the demands of the chairman. Huddersfield have not been able to progress at all since Mark left them in midtable. Left Rotherham because he knew it would be very hard to achieve anything in an athletics stadium. Rotherham have only been able to progress since moving stadiums and getting another fantastic manager. In conclusion Robins is a smart guy and a very good manager. If the likes of D.Saunders and D.Wilson can keep getting jobs it should be a breeze for king Mark.
You his agent.? He'll get jobs lower league no doubt ,but has proved nothing mediocre manager seems to lose dressing rooms.
We were 17th not exactly mid table...Hill pushed us into the top ten till he lost his midfield. Coventry have gone through the ringer and have almost been relegated since Mark left them at the top of the league. True but he had some good players available.. Joe Murphy, Carl Baker, Gary McSheffrey, Leon Clarke,Callum Wilson. Left Huddersfield because he knew with the budget he had it would be near on impossible to meet the demands of the chairman. Huddersfield have not been able to progress at all since Mark left them in midtable. Actually 17th again....having some quality players..Adam Hammill, Sean Scannell, Peter Clarke, Alex Smithies, Neil Danns,Lee Novak, James Vaughn.Alan Lee, Scott Arfield, Nahki Wells, Jack Hunt, Oliver Norwood. Left Rotherham because he knew it would be very hard to achieve anything in an athletics stadium. Rotherham have only been able to progress since moving stadiums and getting another fantastic manager. Did well at Rotherham...but it helps when you've Adam Le Fondre..the hottest striker in the league.
Go on the forums of all those clubs he's managed, perhaps barring Rovrum, and the majority on each will talk about him negatively. And refer to very similar themes. There are threads about him on every one today, obviously, and it's like being on one forum, not three or four different ones. You are right though. He did get out of Oakwell, Cov and Huddersfield when the chips were down.
The thing about Robins is he builds from the back. We conceded more than 1 four times at home in the 10\11 season including 4-2 and 5-2 victories. Many fans moan about his style of play because they want to see goal thrillers every other week. He has always built solid tough to beat sides that ultimately get results.
Perhaps, but try telling that to Scunny fans when he's got Wiseman in defence and they're getting smacked 5-0 by Blackpool, one of the worst sides in the division.
on the subject of laughing at our former players who struggle at their new clubs, what happened to tommy ciffka & jacob mellis at Blackpool?
Rated him as Barnsley manager. Hard to judge what he's done at other clubs because I don't follow them closely. Shouldn't 17th have been even better? Wasn't it that season when he played kids for the last couple of games because he fell out with a few of the foreigners who were moving on in the summer & they were all sat in the West Stand & it felt like a clique had formed?
