Could Scotland and Ireland collude to eliminate South Africa?

They both need four tries apiece and Scotland need to win by 7 points.

Forgive my ignorance but both want to advance and both would rather not face South Africa again if they have aspirations of winning it.

Not really interested, and we/England will either go out in the Qtrs or Semis anyway.

Ohh, and the same might happen in the Cricket WC as well lol.

Been going on over a month and it's still in the group stages. Not that it's dragging with pointless one sided games.....

Contrary to the popular sentiment on this thread, I love the game and I'm enjoying this competition. Maybe as I played the game at a very low-level, is part of the reason.

It can't be rushed tbf, the game is so physically hard you can't play as regular as football group stages.

I keep forgetting about to be honest - and no I don't have THAT many senior moments :)

I think there's a clear case for teams playing 2 games a week in the group stage at least. I know it's gruelling physical sport (at least for the forwards) but they could allow teams to have ample replacements.

Been a good tournament so far. The really good stuff yet to start once we get to the knockout stages. Although an excellent day today, especially tonight's game between Scotland and Ireland.

The rules are simple. To win the tournament Ireland have to beat South Africa. Scotland, New Zealand, France and South Africa again.
England have to beat Old Corinthians, Wensleydale 3rd XV, Rotherham Under 12's, the Stephen Hawking 2nd XV and South Africa.

Disaster of a performance by England so far, undisciplined, unprofessional, littered with errors.

Great would be way down the list of superlatives I'd use. Care made the difference, not sure why he doesn't start, not impressed with Mitchell, Care a much more rounded 9.

Why is it a horrible sport?
And if it is, why have you spent another 2 hours watching it?
Plus, the French love their rugby union. Why should they be even bothering if the sport is so horrible?
Perhaps they're laughing at someone who bothers to waste their life watching something they can't stand. They may have a case.
