Does anyone get the feeling that we are running out of options in relation to bringing in the players we need to sustain a successful campaign? We are still missing a big forward who can hold the ball up and bully centre halfs. We now have a little cash but it seems our targets are suddenly not available or being over priced. I still think we need to bring in a left back/wing back and support for Winnall and Wilkinson but it appears our 1st and second choices are not options anymore.
With the transfer window slowly coming to an end will we fall short on bringing in the quality we need in these areas? It is great that we have some points on the board but lets not get carried away. Without a big lad up front it restricts our attacking options and if we are unfortunate to suffer one or two injuries to our forward line we could end up sticking Mawson up top! No doubt he could do a job note the finish the other night, but its not the way to establish a prolonged promotion challenge.
I believe in the new philosophy but Lee needs a couple more pieces of the jigsaw and we are possibly running out of options and time.
Come on Reds get it sorted.

I doubt it's for a lack of trying. Don't understand why we're not back in for George Waring tbh. Perfect foil for Winnall imo

Yes I think you're right. In terms of transfers in and out of the club I can't remember feeling this frustrated about it all.

We have a good group of players but we definitely need some more players to give us different options. As things stand I am starting to worry that there are new signings even close which is disappointing.

We've had a reasonably good start but we can't let this mask our need for two or three more players.

I agree, l thought George Waring would be one to look at especially after last season.

I would be happy with a good left-back. We've already conceded 6 goals. Promotion-winning teams don't do that.
If we get a striker, one with pace. I'm not sure a big target man suits our style of play.
All our good play comes via quick interchanges along the ground. As soon as the ball bobbles around in the air, the more physical teams usually win out.

I'm sure we still have options out there and there's always Simeon Jackson if we can't get another striker in.

I would say we will bring in one more close to the deadline just to keep spendaholics happy.

Agree lets not mask two wins with............ah well we don't need certain players in certain positions.
We absolutely do need them and despite of what Jonno may have stated on radio Sheff (I haven't heard myself) he knows he needs those players, I think clubs are looking at us and seeing monies coming in and thinking we can pay a bit more.

We can actually bring in as many as we want I believe, but only use 5 in a match day squad.

Midfield area could do with shoring up a bit. Perhaps a defensive one, a holding one and a couple of attacking ones!

I think we should send Rothwell back to make space for any future loans we might need. We clearly got him before we knew Crowley was available, and I don't think there's room for both plus Hourihane. That's no slight on Rothwell (only seen him against Burton so far), but if we don't need him, there's no point keeping him here.

Johnson isn't keen on bringing Waring back because of a constant injury to his back.

That might be down to him carrying LJ's side last season..

******* mental that we've not brought him back. He loved it here, and we loved having him.

During LJ's time last season, it was definitely George. Until he disappeared.
