Hearing he and other players have been shown the door at Aberdeen. All were involved being out and having a drink against rules set in place because of Covid.

    Would anyone want him back?

What can they expect? The rules were known, it cost Aberdeen playing a scheduled match.

I wouldn’t mind Cosgrove. 23 in 37 last season and a target man type of player which we desperately need.

Get where you’re coming from mate. Could be a wake up call however. Just wishful thinking if I’m honest, £2m they’re wanting.

No, but not because of this, just because he was in the main poor for us.

I agree with you Jack. Very stupid of the players to go out so blatantly especially when this disease is still not under control.
And perhaps all have had second thoughts on their actions. But it would seem none are accepting their punishment of a 4 weeks fine suggesting they believe they have done nothing wrong.
All might be unemployed for a wee while.

An honest toiler, but sadly not good enough to wear the famous Red shirt.

Hedges was never good enough for the championship unfortunately, I thought he would kick on in scotland but dont think that's happened either.

I think people sometimes forget most of these players are in their 20s, and often early 20s. Mistakes will be made, naivety will show through, and egg will be put on faces quite often.

I wouldn't have Hedges back because I don't think he showed enough to warrant it, but if he was a decent player for my team I wouldn't write him off for breaking lockdown and having a drink with his mates. I know doctors and lawyers who have broken lockdown; people of all ages in all walks of life.

I don't think it's right, but I can at least see how and why it happens. Definitely warrants punishment of some sort, but I wouldn't destroy my team over it. I'd have their offence thoroughly explained to them, fine them, and ensure it didn't happen again. If they broke it again then so be it, sack them. 4 weeks wages for one offence would rub me the wrong way though.

And let's be honest, if every working person who broke lockdown in the last few months was forced out of their job, we'd be at 80% unemployment.

Totally agree, they are young men, who hasn’t done some thing brainless in the early 20s in a group? Shouldn’t be sacking them and hanging them out to dry, should be helping them to understand their errors.

have they been forced out of a job for breaking the club rules and laws or have they been forced out for not accepting the punishment that goes with it. Seems to me to be the latter. The initial incidents seem to have been dealt with properly but the reaction of the young lads appears to be the issue.
