Talked about the feasibility of the academy, Someone said that he could get a good player for the cost of the academy, Simon totally justified the academy.
He said that if Anderson didn't get into the Everton team he would like to come back but SD expected him to be sold for about 1million to someone else.
Ferenczi had been back training for about 3 days and then broke down again with the same ankle problems yesterday, seeing specialist today.
No mystery re Andy Johnson he didn't think a player of his age and calibre had to prove anything by playing in the reserves, With the fitness checks they carry out he is still very fit.
All players wear heart monitors to assess their fitness levels and the results may determine whether they play or are dropped.
Drinking culture has been quashed, No player are breathalised.
If he was to strengthen the squad in January he would look for a striker, although because Mostto had a short break home to see his wife and kids, he was in a happier mood and on his return he scored, so hopefully more goals to follow.

Someone asked the question, why Johnson wasn't in the 1st team or the reserve team squads, SD replied that there was no mystery or deeper meaning why not, he just said that because of Anderson, the formation worked better, he acknowledged that Johnson was a good player and still trains hard and he wouldn't hesitate in including in him the squad even though he wasn't playing,

playing in the reserves is better than not playing at all. Just my opinion like.

Someone else said that, but SD replied that he didn't want to risk him getting injured (cos of his age) in the reserve matches

Still seems odd though. Especially considering that we had Anderson out last week and Johnson still didnt feature. Would have expected him to have been in the reserves because Davey knew that he was a midfielder down.

He went from being in the starting 11 to not being in the reserves quicker than you could blink.
