I've been reading posts on this board for about a year now but haven't posted before, mainly because i don't get to many games as I play Saturday league football. However, I'm injured at the moment so I went on Saturday. Given that my only other games this season were Coventry at home and the two Sky games I've been quite unlucky so far!

Thought we were excellent. We look so much more solid at the back than last season and withstood periods of pressure that last year and before that we would have just caved in under. Souza and Nyatanga were both excellent given the quality of centre-forwards they were playing against. Nyatanga has come on leaps and bounds since he's been with us and if he continues to improve at this rate he will play at a far higher level.

Two best players for me though were Foster and Macken. I slated Macken to my mates when we signed him but he was excellent on Saturday. Every ball that was played forward to him stuck and he never gave it away which took so much pressure off of the defence. He battled for everything and always looked to bring the wingers in to play. He's not going to score loads but he makes us a much better team. As for Foster, Burnley must have same amazing players if they can afford to let him leave. He's never going to give us much going forward but he was dominant in the air and in the tackle and he would have been my MoM.

Just wanted to praise Watford too. Although they are direct they are a good team and came to win. Thought the tactic of leaving Shittu up after set pieces really caused us problems and well done to Davey for responding to that and dropping Stan back to mark him. We got lucky at the end because it was a definate penalty but we deserved to win and if we had taken our chances we should have been out of sight by then.

Cheers - if the games are going to be as good as this for the next 6 weeks I'm glad I'm injured!
