We were all crying out for some bite in midfield.

These two have it and showed it last night.

They were good as gold until Middlesbrough overstepped the mark and then they were like rabid terriers.

Can't wait for the real games to begin.

Agreed, both players were excellent in that first half. I feared the worst when scowen was down after that horrible tackle, thankfully he got back up. Top player, we'l do well to keep hold of him if we dont go up this season.

Agree, he IS a top player but he is making a habit of going down a bit too much these days. He is the kind of player who will win us penalties and free kicks regularly but he needs to be careful that referees don't catch on. It did look a bad tackle when he was down but look how quickly he recovered. Coming back on was immediately followed by a sprint so I would suggest he wasn't actually hurt at all, but was hoping the Boro player might get sent off. Not good to see that.

    Sorry but I disagree

How any games have we lost due to players opposition players diving

Did you go away from the ground thinking we lost but we didn't cheat ?

    I no I didn't

I'd rather us play dirty sometimes if it gets us 3 points

Yes it's cheating but you don't get anything for been nicest/ fairest team in the league

You've got a point. When he went down under the challenge it looked really bad. But how quickly he recovered to sprint back on the pitch without a limp in sight and carried on playing makes it look like maybe the challenge wasn't as bad as we thought.

He definitely knows how to win a free kick

That Boro player was mixing it before he clattered Scowen and I just think Josh saw an opportunity to maybe get him sent off. Players do it all the time but it's not good to see. As I said he needs to watch his step. He's too good a player to be doing that sort of thing.

I don't want to see cheating of any kind but I know it's part of the game so yes, you could argue that we should just join in with it. I saw some great, hard tackling last night and that really pleased me. Feigning injury is not what I want to see.

I don't think anyone agrees with it and your right I don't like to see it but sometimes it might be the difference between 3 points and zero

Your right about some of tackles yesterday wasn't like any pre season friendly I have watched before .

Nice to see we weren't getting bullied like a number of games last season

Never felt this confident as I am this season

I just think we have a good chance of promotion with this team plus 2 additions

Agree with you, i'm sick of seeing teams get away with everything while we're the ones that suffer... Brighton when we were in the Championship for example, dirty as owt, nothing given...

Theres nothing better than seeing players going into tackles with 100% commitment, a fair strong challenge with no injuries obviously.
