We've got to get him playing. I know Brownhill is playing well at the moment and Connor is the new Roy Keane but surely when fit he must start. Thoughts

No he shouldn't. Never change a winning side - not good enough to get in the side at the minute. Brown hill is pure class.

He's a brilliant player. And will be a Reds legend if he stay for a few years, but Conor has upped his all round game beyond belief and Brownhill has exceeded most people's expectations I imagine. The lads a cut above. It's brilliant we now have 3 superb L1 centre mids.

If it ain't broke don't fix it & I'm one of Scowen's biggest fans.

It's harsh because he's been consistently good for us when available but it's just an unfortunate situation he finds himself in

agree with this but it is a squad game so give him play time when possible like last 15 mins, same as Fletcher.

Scowen is our best player IMO but at the minute he needs to bide his time and keep working hard in training. Im sure everyone remembers my views on Hourihane last season but I cant fault him so far this, he's improved no end.

Of course he's good enough to get in the side and when the opportunity arises he will. For now, no changes are required as there's nothing broken to fix.

I can see an argument for starting him against Gillingham, just because they are a tougher proposition than Fleetwood and Bury and we could do with additional defensive cover.

However, Hourihane and Brownhill have been excellent recently so you can't really drop either. I think at the moment he'll have a settle for coming on off the bench. Certainly gives us a boost when he does.

Scowan is still getting match fit. I think he cramped up after 65 mins in u21s so last 20 mins is ok for now in first team. Let him come back when he is ready and pressurise first team slots. Great to see real competition and also that every player right now has earned keeping their shirt.

Keep bringing scowan on last 20 mins or so when poss to get him up to match fitness.
Hourihane and Brownhill both deserve their start massively for now.
Josh's chance will come and it's great to know that a player of his quality is ready to jump in when the need arises and am sure it will at some point.

I wouldn't change a winning team and he wouldn't be in on merit as nobody deserves to be dropped. I wouldn't want us to get in an habit of picking people just because of their reptuation.

Build him back to full fitness and then he can replace lack of end product Isgrove if Brownhill and Conor are still playing as well as they are now.

this is the good thing about competition for places, and i hope it gives the manager/coach something to think about for the rest of the season. if brownhill wants to join us long term in the summer, how much do we think preston will ask for him?
